“Nude for Satan” is based up the Italian horror movie “Nuda per Satana” from 1974. The story in the movie follow Dr. Benson driving through the countryside when he discover a car crash. The good doctor tries to help the car crash victim Susan. He takes her to a nearby castle to seek for help and shelter for the night. Sinister stuff is happening in this castle. To be honest; this is not a good movie in any way. It is sleazy, confusing and weird. It got some fun scenes, like the half naked woman that gets stuck in a giant spider web. This huge plastic spider is coming at her. The song is all about a woman submitting to the dark. The devil rides out to find a woman that will be his mistress. And a woman wanting to have sex with Lucifer himself. It is a pure fantasy text – like the movie. The lyric has a lot of small tributes. To Hammer Horror, Darkthrone and Cathedral just to mention a few. The song itself is the last on “Blood Feast” and the thought was to end the album in an epic way. The song is more of an doomish black metal track. It is slow with the vocals in a more traditional black metal voice. “Nude for Satan” is not a fun song to practice as it is slow and long. But it is a necessary song to give the album variety and some people have mention it as a favorite. Maybe because it stands out a bit and fans of doom metal enjoys it.
